Anna Perkins
Artist Statement
“Hello, my name is Anna Perkins. I’m a freelance artist based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After graduating with two associate degrees in graphic design and illustration from KVCC, I began my freelance career. I create art for myself and others including murals, photography, paintings, textiles, logos, and digital art. I like creating custom art for others.
In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, grandkids, friends, and my animals. I also like to volunteer at the Recovery Institute (RI) by being part of the board of directors and The Big Room. In addition, I am also part of Recovery Institute’s Power Group. I want to give back to RI because they were a crucial part of my recovery for mental health.”
