Bee Stone – WMU Student Exhibit
Artist Statement
Bee found her love for black and white photography as she discovered her path through school. The defined grain in the film reminded her how detailed life is but also how fragile life can be. While attending Western Michigan University, Bee realized that she wanted to learn most if not all techniques that photography has to offer. Bee is currently working on
medium format black and white photography. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University, she hopes to connect with the correct knowledge to teach black and white film photography and the alternative processes photography has to offer, believing that it is an important way to create archival documentation of life’s memories.
