Elizabeth Ekema
Artist Statement
Elizabeth Ekema is a traditional artist with a focus in watercolors and ink. They take inspiration from music and their travels throughout the great state of Michigan to create their artworks. They have an animation background and use the digital techniques they learned to create hand drawn comics before digitally inking them. Over the past year, they have worked with Kalamazoo Valley to create a welcoming and fun art experience for students in Kalamazoo and surrounding areas.
