Micah Dailey-White

Artist Statement

Micah Dailey-White is a Kalamazoo-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work moves fluidly between pop, hip hop, and experimental songwriting. Their music is driven by curiosity and feel rather than genre, blending sharp melodic instincts with an ear for texture, rhythm, and surprise.

In addition to solo releases, Micah is an active collaborator across the local scene, performing in and contributing to multiple projects while continually evolving their own sound. Whether working with beats, guitars, or stripped-down arrangements, their writing balances accessibility with invention, inviting listeners in without flattening the edges.

Micah will be celebrating their newest release at Art Hop. Their new album MANIA is out 2/20, with the single “Think About It” out this Friday.

As Glow Hall’s Kalamazoo Artist Spotlight for March Art Hop, Micah represents the kind of artist this space exists to support, deeply rooted locally, creatively restless, and committed to making work that feels alive in the room.

Kalamazoo Artist Spotlight is Glow Hall’s ongoing Art Hop series dedicated to highlighting artists who are actively shaping Kalamazoo’s creative life. Each month, one local artist is featured through live work, listening, or exhibition, offering space for their practice to be experienced in a focused, supportive setting.

The series centers artists who are deeply rooted in this place and moment, people building sustained, thoughtful work while contributing to the wider cultural ecosystem around them. Kalamazoo Artist Spotlight is about visibility, context, and care, giving local artists the same attention and intention typically reserved for touring acts. Presented by Glow Hall, 246 N Kalamazoo Mall.
