Artist Statement
Handmade ceramic sculpture and functional wares rich in color made by Sara Rio. Their work explores links existing between the past, present and future of classic table wares and food preservation. Finding inspiration at home in Western Michigan, much of their work is a celebration of nature, abundance, and those beautiful summer sunsets on the lake.
