Lucas Gilbert – WMU Student Exhibit

Lucas Gilbert is a comic artist studying at the Gwen Frostic School of Art at Western Michigan University. Born and raised in Kalamazoo, he is currently pursuing a BFA with an emphasis in Painting, along with a minor in Sociology. He uses a variety of mediums including ink, watercolor, acrylic, and digital painting in his comics, often taking a multimedia approach. Gilbert has been drawing and writing their own original graphic novels for over a decade, creating original characters and narratives that he uses to inform his work.
