Ellen Nelson has been a Kalamazoo artist since graduating from the University of Michigan in 2013. Her oil paintings and large-scale mural work seek to find the beauty, truth, and meaning in the chaotic patterns of everyday life. She uses colors, patterns, and objects that are nostalgic, joyful, or powerful, with the hopes that her final pieces will offer viewers moments of respite from the weight of the world.

Kazoo School students (K-12) end of the year art showcase. These artists have been inspired by nature, history, and cultures across the world to create explorative art that nurtures self-expression.

From spring through fall, Penny gathers stones from along Michigan's shorelines. She use these stones to create stone art wall hangings, magnets and other items all year long. The possibilities of what she can create are endless. Her best-selling item is the Michigan magnet set. Some of Penny's favorite creations are eagles, Bigfoot doing various things, wine glasses, Cannabis leaves, crosses, electric guitars, and so many different animals, birds and water creatures. You can follow Penny on her Facebook group called "Stone Art by Penny Hughes".
