Cathy Germay
Artist Statement
Cathy Germay has been a working artist since receiving her BFA in Fine Arts from College for Creative Studies in 2005. Her artwork mainly focuses on her personal experiences living with a rare disease called HHT, her numerous surgeries (in April 2026 she reached the milestone of 20 surgeries), and chronic pain. Heavily influenced by the work of Frida Kahlo, she has recently started a new body of mixed media work that incorporates 3d prints, paper mache, and painting.
