Sara Rio Ceramics
Artist Statement
Sara Río is a ceramics artist located in Kalamazoo, MI. She earned her Bachelors degree in fine arts from Western Michigan University in 2015 and now spends her time making, exhibiting, selling, and teaching about her art. She creates functionally inspired forms using surface decorations including bright and vibrant colors, painterly techniques, and carving practices.
