Artist Statement
Inspiration, for Mare’s jewelry designs, comes from the love of nature. Mare says, “I walk the beach, woods, and path to lose my mind and find my soul”…. this is a classic saying Mare uses because it’s a relaxing time to enjoy the moment and let your thoughts drift and then head back to the studio eager to create something new. Mare works as a bench jeweler & enamelist using primarily sterling silver, fine silver & copper for enameling with opaque & transparent vitreous enamels fired with a torch/kiln, some are lucky enough to get the RAKU process.
