Artist Statement
Located in the heart of Downtown Kalamazoo, Colors & Cocktails is a beautiful and welcoming art boutique, gallery, and art studio, proudly woman-owned and operated by local artist Lauren Parker Lasater and her amazing team! Colors & Cocktails proudly features over 30 local artists, makers, and vendors and is deeply committed to supporting small businesses, especially women-owned businesses. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy the studio’s wonderful Makers Markets, offering the opportunity to meet and greet with talented local makers, shop their beautiful creations, and discover something truly special! With the holidays just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to shop local! From unique handmade treasures to thoughtful gifts, visitors are sure to find something wonderful for everyone on their holiday shopping list. In addition to its boutique and gallery, Colors & Cocktails offers a wide variety of fun and engaging art classes and workshops for kids and adults of all skill levels! Guests can register for scheduled classes or book private parties, corporate team-building experiences, and group events, either at the Downtown Kalamazoo studio or at a location of their choice. The talented team takes great pride in guiding participants every step of the way, and no previous art experience is necessary!
Visitors are also welcome to stop in and get creative at **The Art Bar**, the newest addition to the studio’s beautiful space! With a variety of creative projects to choose from, guests can enjoy a hands-on art experience at their own pace.
