Artist Statement
“I am a senior citizen, resident of Kalamazoo since 1961. Married to my wife, Kate, for 54 years. My art talent is inherited from my mother. Much of my artworks are Chrisitan Bible inspired, various sizes – painted in oils or pastel on stretched canvas. Some paintings are framed and some are not.
Efforts are to bring a concept of the referenced biblical passage to physical, visible, tangible reality for those who might get a better understanding of a scripture after viewing the related art piece. Poetry, songwriting, reading, and entrepreneurial ventures are my other interests.
Currently, none of my poetry is published or posted on a public media, but I have over 200 poems that are related to life in general.”
