Artist Statement
Monica Kovach uses her experience and background in graphic design to create small-batch linocut prints. Working in the fast-paced digital design space for nearly a decade, she uses printmaking as a way to slow down the creative process and connect with the physical nature of artmaking again. Monica’s print style is minimalist and high-contrast, with subject matter ranging from nature and plants to fantasy and metaphysical themes.
