A.P. Menzor Studio
Artist Statement
Alex Menzor is a Kalamazoo-based acrylic artist and illustrator whose paintings explore themes of change, growth, and human connection. Inspired by their personal journey of becoming deaf later in life, Alex uses botanical and kaleidoscopic imagery to create reflective works that celebrate resilience, healing, and our shared experiences. As a follow up to their recent exhibition at ArtPrize 2026, Alex will be displaying their kinetic painting “Touch” at Park Trades during ArtHop and encouraging patrons to gently interact with the piece.
