Artist Statement
M&T Woodworks is the creative collab between partners, Mac & Tracy. Together in their home garage shop, they specialize in snarky art, bathymetric maps (also known as lake art), as well as unique home goods and accessories. The majority of their products showcase the natural beauty of the wood with limited use of paints or stains. They also prioritize the use of natural finishes. This ensures the kitchen items remain food safe and the artwork looks natural, instead of looking dipped in plastic. The majority of their lumber is sourced from a local sawmill and they create their pieces in their Kalamazoo based garage shop, making them truly Michigan made.
