Artist Statement
Since early childhood, August has been aware of life’s complexity and the inevitability of mortality. These questions—too vast to answer in life—have guided her creative path. Art provides the space he needs to explore these themes and connect with others who feel their weight. Working alongside Brent, Elizabeth, and Athena, August aims to spark reflection and offer solace. Their shared intention is to remind audiences that we are united in this experience and that the essence of who we are endures beyond physical existence.
