Artist Statement
Maria Newhouse (she/her) is a storyteller working in both images and words. Her photography captures movement, emotion, and connection— moments of stillness and depth within the flow of everyday life. Her debut book, Glimmering Moments: Lesson in the Chaos, extends that vision to the page, blending narrative and reflection to explore identity, motherhood, and the unexpected beauty of ordinary moments. Together, her photographs and writing invite audiences to pause, look closer, and discover the stories waiting just beneath the surface.
