Artist Statement
Alison’s art is an experiment in improvisation, more concerned with the process than the final design. She builds each layer in reference to the one before it. Alison creates dynamic waves and fluid structures by creating and playing a visual game of telephone. Each layer trying to follow the last but never quite perfect. Built up over time Alison attempts to create movement and texture that keeps the viewer engaged with her pieces.
