For most of her life, Angela Dugger has had a camera in her hand. Photography helps her process the world and share it with others. She finds it to be a fascinating method of communication that she never gets tired of. Dugger is interested in working with images digitally, printing in
black and white from film negatives, as well as the alternative process of cyanotype. She employs both the traditional cyanotype process of printing photograms and a lesser used method called wet cyanotype. She enjoys printing on both fabric and paper to make interesting multimedia pieces. Her focus on natural imagery and forms helps to bring attention to environmental issues. Dugger’s camera is her favorite tool when she is exploring and she has repeatedly returned to it throughout her life. When she goes out and shoots, the world fades away. She can focus on what’s in front of her lens and not worry about anything else.
