Bruce Dall

Artist Statement

Bruce Dall creates metal work sculptures using decommissioned spinal surgery implants that have been removed from living people to create art. All implants have been ethically retainedwashed and sterilized according to OSHA guidelines. The series being exhibited are images suggestive of human’s earliest artistic works available to us as prehistoric cave paintings. He sets the stage for comparing our ancient ancestors artistic mediums with today’s industrial mediums. This art medium is new to the art world and Dall is calling it “Temp In Body Art (TIBA)”. He is featuring it as a potentially new form of the DADA Art Movement of the 1920s, specifically a new extension of the “readymade”.
