David Elhart

Artist Statement

David Elhart’s work reflects over forty years of service within the scientific community, both internationally and domestically. His career included the development and production of biomedical research models and diagnostic devices in both the United States and Japan.

Dave received formal art training in Technical, Commercial, and Fine Art at the Bradley Technical Institute and the Layton School of Art, both in Milwaukee, WI. He continued his studies at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA, and later received additional training in ceramics at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts in Kalamazoo, MI.

Dave considered it a privilege to have exhibited his artwork at the 2014 Invitational Parallax International Art Fair in London, UK. He was also a Resident Artist at the Saugatuck Artists Collective in Saugatuck, MI, and contributed gifted works to private collections of Fellows in Rome and Paris.

Over the years, David had been actively involved in local and regional art events through invitations and collaborations with the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo.
