David Miner
Artist Statement
David was born and raised on a farm in the Allegan/Hopkins area. David has five much older brothers and grew up participating in many solo creative adventures. He is an engineer from the University of Michigan and still loves science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as well as many creative endeavors. David’s first recognized bipolar episode was at age 30 and CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) was his most important tool for supporting recovery.
David enjoys woodworking and pottery as well as many other activities and hobbies. He is a long-time member of the Recovery Institute and currently is working with the Roof, a not-for-profit organization that will provide transitional housing and sustainable employment for the homeless and the underhoused.
