“Dean’s Last Art Hop” – Honoring the Life of Dean Hauck
Artist Statement
An open house at the Michigan News to honor and celebrate the life of Dean Hauck and her store.
We will gather, honor, and say farewell to our beloved Dean.
Come and walk through the News and feel her presence.
Sign the guest book with your favorite memory of Dean.
Talk and share with your Kalamazoo downtown friends and all those who loved her. At sunset, we will release her spirit with bubbles blown up to the sky. We hope you will be able to join us in this celebration of an extraordinary life. Thank you to First National Bank for permission to park in the lot right next door to Michigan News and the back of the big lot next to that. Dean loved our community.
Free coffee will be provided by Coffee Rescue while supplies last.
In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to the Kalamazoo Public Library and the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo.
