Artist Statement
Gargoyles have existed in many forms for thousands of years and can still be found looming on the facades of buildings everywhere. Eric enjoys creating his own versions of these creatures through a process of sculpting and mold making, finding his own voice in an old tradition. They are happy and sad, terrified and brave, beautiful and disgusting, the sublime and ridiculous existing together. Eric’s work can enhance gardens and interiors bringing a touch of old world humor and elegance.
