Harrison Nelson
Artist Statement
Harrison Clark Nelson, an artist primarily working in oil on canvas, is currently working on 3 series of paintings. First, his urban façade series explores the interaction of light and space within the urban environment of Kalamazoo. Second, his sail series explores the vibrant colors and geometries associated with sailboats and boatyards. Finally, Nelson’s landscape series explores the color and tonal variations in wilderness landscapes. Nelson’s recent solo exhibit was at Light Fine Arts, Kalamazoo College, held in February 2025.
