Hairstyling is an art form, a celebration of beauty and versatility that speaks a unique and profound language. Historically, Black hair has been a powerful symbol of rebellion, resistance, and empowerment. Through my work, I delve into the rich journey and traditions surrounding Black hair, exploring how hairstyling within Black culture serves as a vibrant and meaningful response to America’s civil, social, and economic issues.

I tell stories, celebrate culture, and spread messages of hope because we all need a “pick me up” from time to time. I create because art brings joy and offers solace in a challenging world. More importantly, my work is a reminder that despite life’s difficulties, ‘It’s going to be okay.”
