Larry Stuart

Artist Statement

Book & Image by Larry G. Stuart explores the dialogue between image and text through black and white photography and collage using vintage book paper. Each piece transforms fragments of deconstructed books into textured landscapes where memory, history, and language intertwine. Images on Japanese paper adds a sense of impermanence and quiet reflection, blurring the boundary between the tactile and the ephemeral. These works invite viewers to reconsider how stories—visual and written— can be re-imagined through material and time.
