Lisa Olivarez
Artist Statement
Lisa Olivarez is a fine art painter living and working in Southwest Michigan. A native Michigander, she spent her early years exploring the woodlands and lakes of Michigan. Her art reflects her love of nature as she explores the landscape with bold colors and energetic strokes. Lisa frequently paints en plein air, but also loves to paint large pieces in her Kalamazoo area studio. She holds a BFA in painting and has been an artist in Residence for the National Parks Service, along the shores of Lake Michigan and on an island in the center of the Aegean Sea.
