Lynn Sures
Artist Statement
In Lynn Sures studio practice she is instinctively on a mission without a prescribed outcome. She has a sense there is something to solve, often without formal definition or materiality, stems from an impetus that, itself, can be very specific. She constantly draws, beats and pigments her paper pulp, prints her own prints—It is all part of the methodology of understanding something about her place in the complex and tantalizing world that she thinks about all the time.
