Artist Statement
Lys Reese is an author/illustrator who uses her deep love of folklore to inspire her many works. Primarily using digital mediums like Procreate to create her books, Lys prefers more traditional mediums like gouache, ink, and colored pencils for her illustrations. From poetry to coloring books and stickers to bookmarks, Lys’s goal is not only to connect us to stories of the past but to inspire others to embrace their cozy inner cryptid.
