Artist Statement
Mark L an artistic author and researcher, creator and ongoing qualitative research initiative that has collected and analyzed over 2,500 organic narratives of mental health experiences. Mark L multidisciplinary documentary film (Triple Threat Love Letter: Mental Health Has No Face) and experiential community events Mind, Body, & KEEP PACE Mental Health Fashion Show art and fashion as metaphors for resilience. Rather than pushing corporate or rigid ideological frameworks, Mark L creates relaxed, accessible environments where conversations around mental wellness, accountability, and self-care can flow organically. Viewing human existence through the imagery of the butterfly peaceful, calm, and carrying universal gifts.
