Savannah Keck
Artist Statement
Savannah Keck is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores themes of family, memory, grief, love, and the relationships that shape a sense of home. Working across painting, printmaking, photography, digital design, and sculpture, she uses personal experiences as a starting point for investigating how people carry memories, navigate loss, and maintain connections with those who have influenced their lives. Many of Keck’s works draw from family photographs, personal objects, significant places, and moments of remembrance. Through layered imagery, symbolism, and narrative elements, she examines the ways memories are preserved, altered, and revisited over time. Her practice is rooted in the belief that ordinary experiences and relationships can hold strong meaning, particularly when viewed through the lens of grief, distance or change. Material choices play an important role in her work. Keck often combines traditional and experimental processes, using techniques and materials that reinforce the emotional content of each piece. Whether working in paint, printmaking, or mixed media, she creates visual spaces that invite viewers to reflect on their own experiences of family, belonging, loss, and connection. Through her practice, Keck seeks to preserve meaningful moments while exploring the lasting impact that people, places, and memories leave on our lives.
