Artist Statement
Trish has been fascinated by color since early childhood. She enjoys using various drawing materials in combination and playing contrasting hues against each other to a painterly effect. The energetic brushstroke quality of Van Gogh, Degas’ sense of light and love for the pastel medium, and Gaugin’s bold extrapolations of color are influences on her drawing style. Trish’s floral series is inspired by her love of gardening and appreciation for the wide variety of floral forms.
