Artist Statement
Laurie Swaney is a local artist born and raised in Kalamazoo. She creates bright, whimsical 3-D sculptures using found, repurposed, and recycled materials including wood, metal, glass, and wire. Because each piece is made from unique reclaimed materials, all of her work is one-of-a-kind and entirely original.
